To do this, click <strong>Start<\/strong>, point to <strong>Programs<\/strong>, point to <strong>Administrative Tools<\/strong>, and then click <strong>Internet Services manager<\/strong>. (In Windows 2000 Professional, <strong>Adminstrative Tools<\/strong> is located in <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>.)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>2.<\/td>\n<td>Click the plus sign (+) next to your server name.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>3.<\/td>\n<td>Right-click the Web site or FTP site, and click <strong>Properties<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>4.<\/td>\n<td>On the <strong>Website<\/strong> or <strong>FTP Site<\/strong> tab, select <strong>Enable Logging<\/strong>.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>5.<\/td>\n<td>In the <strong>Active log format<\/strong> list, select a format. By default, <strong>Enable Logging<\/strong> is selected and the format is <strong>W3C Extended Log File Format<\/strong>, with the following fields enabled for logging: <strong>Time<\/strong>, <strong>Client IP Address<\/strong>, <strong>Method<\/strong>, <strong>URI Stem<\/strong>, and <strong>HTTP Status<\/strong>. Select the items that you want to monitor in the log, leaving the defaults unless you want to customize your monitoring.<strong>NOTE<\/strong>: If the format you select is <strong>ODBC logging<\/strong>, click <strong>Properties<\/strong> and then type the data source name and the name of the table that is within the database in the text boxes.
